A competition facilitated by McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business, in association with SCNetwork – it is open to undergraduate and graduate level business students, including those completing a minor in business. The Ask - predict the world of work in the year 2040. This competition is the first of its kind in the HRM and Organizational Strategy domain, and leverages the value of industry-academic affiliation to deliver experiential learning.

Phases of the Competition
The first two phases of the Focus 2040 competition require written entries, with word limits of 750 words for each submission. The final phase will feature oral and visual presentations to a panel of academic and senior industry practitioners. Each submission must present innovative responses to the following issues:
Phase 1: How will the employee of 2040 change the world of work in 2040?
Phase 2: (Top 25) Propose and argue a new corporate structure relevant to this era.
Phase 3: (Top 10) What one breakthrough will revolutionize the business of 2040?
